About Our Shelter:

I foster and adopt pets for CARA Animal Shelter in Mississippi. I am in charge of the transport and adoptions of the CARA dogs in New England. I keep 2-6 dogs in my home, socalize and house train them. I work solely with CARA because we have the same beliefs and CARA stands firmly behind all of their adoptions.

Come Meet our Pets:

The pets can be visited at my home by appointment.

Our Adoption Process:

1. an application is submitted.2. a thorough pet, vet and personal history is checked.

3. if applicant is approved a fee of $225..00 is required and a contract is signed.

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you’ll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.

Breed Specific Rescues

Please note that this list is far from complete. We have tried to keep
these resources fairly close to the San Francisco Bay area. If you do not find what
you need call you local Humane Society/SPCA and ask for the local contact information
for the specific breed of cat you are looking for.

Thanks guys – Here is the reason for the inquiry

2006-10-12 11:52:57 by PersianPassionI have just gotten a Persian cat from a shelter right around the corner. It’s a 4 day kill center. It was about to be killed the next day. It is soooooo cute. I have named her Clara Bow. She looks like a 1920s silent movie star. Big eyes, with beautiful white coat and a hint of black. A true silver. Only 7 lbs. Prefers to be an only cat.
I have signed up to foster for Northern Ca. Persian and Himalayan Rescue. We currently have like 50 cats up in Mill Valley saved from feral-dom or a kill facility. IF ANYONE COULD HELP WITH FOSTERING IN THE BAY AREA RIGHT NOW IT WOULD HELP.
I can’t keep my little jewel because my husband is allergic
